Intern - Registered Social Worker

Ryan Cohoe, He/Him

Ryan is a registered social worker with over 20 years of experience in youth justice, forensic mental health, and residential care. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with first responders, justice system-involved individuals, residents, and fellow professionals, developing a nuanced understanding of how adversity manifests across diverse lives and contexts.

These experiences shape the steady, grounded presence he brings to therapy. Ryan’s approach is warm, honest and focused on connection rather than perfection. He meets clients at their pace and creates space for their stories, helping them work through stress, anger, past wounds, or a desire for change.

Ryan is currently completing his Master of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University and enjoys working with both youth and adults. His practice is trauma-informed and client-centered, drawing from CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy to help people make sense of their experiences and move toward meaningful change.

Ryan starts at HCCFM in January, 2026; please email us at info@hccfm.ca with any inquiries.
