Intern - Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Matthew Burrows, He/Him
Matt approaches therapy with warmth, curiosity, and a balance of support and challenge. His interest in psychotherapy grew out of a difficult adolescence marked by disorientation and self-destructive patterns—experiences that eventually led him into years of psychological and spiritual exploration. These personal and formative experiences continue to inform his work with clients.
Today, Matt is happily married with three children (all boys), a successful entrepreneur, and has a background in sports, coaching, religious studies, and counselling. His therapeutic style reflects both lived experience and interdisciplinary academic study.
Matt is especially interested in the challenges many men face in modern life—including disconnection, lack of direction, and uncertainty about identity and purpose in a rapidly changing culture. He recognizes the distinct pressures men encounter and aims to create a space where those experiences can be explored.
If you're ready to explore what's holding you back—and what might move you forward—Matt would love to walk alongside you.
Matt starts at HCCFM in January, 2026; please email us at info@hccfm.ca with any inquiries.
